Paddy Casey
Limerick Racecourse announced today that Paddy Casey would be playing
after racing on our second summer evening meeting, Friday 18 June.
With a total of six days spread from Saturday Evening 29 May, to Thursday
Evening 22 July, further announcements are expected on the other summer
fixtures, including the details of the Betfair Jockeys Challenge on Saturday
3 July successfully re-launched by Limerick in 2003.
Working in partnership with MCD, the Koppaberg Pear Cider sponsored evening
on Friday 18 June is expected to be followed by further big name acts
on Friday 2 July and possibly Saturday 3 July.
Angus Houston, General Manager of Limerick Racecourse commented "We
have identified a specific opportunity to upgrade the level of our evening
fixtures having sold over 5,000 Barbecue and group packages in 2003, at
our evening meetings. We already had music after racing, but by booking
quality acts and working with MCD, we are giving the best of both worlds
to our customers at unbelievable value. We will be branding these evenings
specifically and are very excited about the following summer fixtures."
Paddy Casey quoted ""I've always had good fun playing in Limerick,
it will be good to finally play outdoors. If I was a betting man I would
say first string break on the second song."
Tickets are available at Ticketmaster, Peter Clohessy's Bar Limerick
and from the Racecourse Office.
